Quote:
No journalists were supposed to be admitted, but Polona Frelih of the Slovenian newspaper Delo joined them. In her article, she wrote that “the meeting was attended by 11 representatives of Russian humanitarian organizations and myself I spent there as a representative of one of them.” Austrian journalist Tanja Malle and I asked her on Twitter how she got into the meeting, to which she coyly responded, “I’ve spent a lot in time in Russia to get my way around ” and then “I was there as a journalist. Not that anyone would know.” She gave further insights on Snowden’s predicament. Frelih tweeted, “#Snowden is not phantom. Fragile, desperate” and then clarified, “#snowden looked like someone without daylight for long time but strong enough psychologically.” Answering questions about Sarah Harrison and Wikileaks, she wrote, “It’s obvious who is in charge. #wikileaks are the only ones he can count on now” and “S. Harrison is a bossy lady, probably has to be. I will talk first she said at the beginning.” Frelih’s photograph with the hand of Wikileaks crossing Snowden’s face shows this uneasy tension explicitly.
The moment of truth came once the meeting began. Tanya Lokshina of Human Rights Watch made the first photographs of Snowden since Hong Kong. She wrote, “The first thing I thought was how young he looks – like a school kid.”

v času, ko je zgodba pršla ven, sem začela spremljat in sumit, da nekaj prikrivajo. Ravno takrat je bil G8 summit v Veliki Britaniji.

men osebno je bilo lažje spremljat Snowdenovo zgodbo.

The world's greatest whistleblower is stuck in the Russian winter, facing solitary confinement, ridicule, and life in prison if US agents grab him. But this week, we could help get him to safety.

Edward Snowden exposed the mind-boggling and illegal level of surveillance the US government is conducting on, well, all of us. His welcome in Russia runs out soon, and he's got nowhere to go. But Brazilian President Dilma is angry at US surveillance and experts say she might brave massive US pressure to consider asylum for Snowden!

This is about much more than one man. If Snowden's act of truth-telling leads to crippling punishment, it sends the wrong signal to abusive governments and whistleblowers everywhere. If 1 million of us take action now, we can send President Dilma the largest citizen-supported asylum bid in history -- click below to safeguard Snowden and defend democracy everywhere:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/send_snowden_home_loc/?bPlHgfb&v=34724

Time is running out on Snowden’s one-year visa. Sharks are circling to drag him back to the US where he is unlikely to face a fair trial, but Brazil’s president Dilma hates mega spy program PRISM, has cancelled a state visit to the US over the issue, and is working to safeguard her people from spying. If she’s to support Snowden, Dilma needs to know she can withstand tough US pressure.

Opponents of giving Snowden asylum say he broke the law and put global security at risk. Some even call him a traitor, and say letting him get away with it could open the floodgates for others. But while Snowden did break the law -- he did so to reveal a massive system of illegal global spying on an industrial scale. Snowden's heroic action can make the world a better and safer place for everyone.

And Snowden isn’t just any whistleblower; his revelations have already changed the world for the better. Germany and Brazil have moved to reform privacy protections for citizens. The issue has been addressed openly in the United Nations, and a US court has ruled some forms of NSA spying are illegal. This week US President Obama is going to change the spy practices of the NSA, in reaction to Snowden’s leaks!

President Dilma needs our support to stand up to US pressure. Let’s show her that the world’s people will stand with Brazil if Brazil stands for bravery. Join the world’s biggest asylum request ever, for Snowden:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/send_snowden_home_loc/?bPlHgfb&v=34724

With more than 30 million members around the world -- including over 6 million in Brazil -- together we have already been key to protecting our internet from government gag laws. Now we can support the man who has sacrificed so much to protect us from a massive international spy scandal.

Subject: Fight the Feds’ mass hacking expansion

Lizzy at FFTF <team@fightforthefuture.org>
Hi,

On December 1, the FBI is scheduled to get new authority to hack into computers located anywhere in the world with just a single warrant issued by any federal magistrate judge.

That’s because the Department of Justice has proposed a change to an obscure rule, “Rule 41,” that governs how criminal investigations are conducted. Previously, federal judges could only authorize hacking of computers located within their areas of jurisdiction. The FBI’s proposal would let them access information on computers located anywhere in the world.[1]

These rules can be changed by the federal court system; no public debate or legislative activity is required. So, unless Congress acts, the FBI will soon have expansive new powers to remotely hack into your computer based on a mass warrant issued by a random federal judge.

We need Congress to take action to stop this. Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa is the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, which covers these issues. Can you call his office now and urge him to hold a hearing on these changes?

Call his office now:

Dial 202-224-3744

Staffers will be counting how many people call. This is what you can tell them: “I urge the Senator to hold a hearing on the changes to Rule 41 and the government’s authority to hack into people’s computers. This issue is too important to not be reviewed by Congress.”

Don’t feel like calling? Leave your demand for a hearing on his Facebook page instead.

Here’s the backstory. In 2015, the FBI intentionally misled a judge in Virginia in order to get a warrant that would let them hack into computers involved in an investigation. On their warrant application, they said they wanted to be able to search computers located in the Eastern District of Virginia. But they used the warrant to hack into more than 1,300 computers across the country.[2]

When other courts looked at the case, they determined that the FBI acted outside the bounds of their warrant in hacking most of these computers. So the FBI asked the Supreme Court to change the underlying rule, and the Supreme Court agreed.

If the changes are allowed to take effect on December 1, law enforcement will be able to easily obtain warrants to hack into any electronic device located anywhere in the world.

And this wouldn’t only affect people suspected of criminal activity. The rule change would let the FBI get warrants to hack into any computer that conceals its location through technical means, including those belonging to people who use Tor browser or VPNs.

It also targets computers that have been “damaged without authorization,” which means that anyone caught up in a botnet or attacked by malware could be vulnerable to FBI hacks.

We need Congress to step in and stop this massive expansion of surveillance hacking power before millions of people have their rights violated.

Call Senator Grassley of Iowa and demand that he holds a hearing on these changes.

Dial 202-224-3744 and tell his staffers: “I urge the Senator to hold a hearing on the changes to Rule 41 and the government’s authority to hack into people’s computers. This issue is too important to not be reviewed by Congress.”

Can’t call? Leave your demand for a hearing on his Facebook page instead.

Bipartisan legislation has already been introduced in the Senate and the House that would prevent these changes from taking effect, but it won’t be considered unless Senator Grassley holds a hearing.[3]

Thanks for taking action,

-Lizzy

URGENT: Mass hacking starts Thursday

URGENT: Mass hacking starts Thursday

Hey,

We have 36 hours to stop the government from being able to remotely hack your computer and phone.

Call your lawmakers now and demand they pass the Stop Mass Hacking Act. Dial 1-919-FREEDOM now or click here.

At midnight on Thursday, the FBI, CIA, and other law enforcement agencies get a major expansion of their hacking powers. Instead of having to get a hacking warrant from your local district judge, they’ll be able to go forum shopping for any judge in the country who will give them the warrant.

Even worse, any federal judge will be able to authorize the government to run hacking operations on multiple computers located anywhere. A single warrant could authorize privacy violations on a mass scale.[1]

Fortunately, a group of US lawmakers is working on delaying the hacking powers from taking effect on Thursday. If we can get this delayed now, there is a good chance we will be able to get it killed permanently.[2][3]

Dial 1-919-FREEDOM to call your lawmakers now to demand that they support the Stop Mass Hacking Act.

This change to the hacking warrants system was never debated or voted on by Congress. It was proposed by the FBI and approved by an obscure committee of the federal court system.

The courts are trying to force this through as a mere technical change, but in reality it would have a major impact on the privacy and security of all Americans.

The bar for the FBI to justify hacking into people’s computers would be dramatically lowered. And countless people could be caught up in mass hacking operations if they were ever victims of botnets or if their computers were ever infected by malware.

Most members of Congress are not even aware this rule change is happening, and the ones who are aware either oppose it or have serious concerns about how it’s being done. We need to force a debate of these mass hacking rules before it’s too late.

Dial 1-919-FREEDOM to call your lawmakers and demand that they delay the mass hacking rule. Delaying the rule is the first step to stopping it altogether.

Thanks for all you do,

Lizzy at FFTF

The Dead Kennedys - California Über Alles

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoA_zY6tqQw

"California Uber Alles""California Uber Alles""California Uber Alles"

I am Governor Jerry Brown
My aura smiles
And never frowns
Soon I will be president...

Carter Power will soon go away
I will be Fuhrer one day
I will command all of you
Your kids will meditate in school
Your kids will meditate in school!

[Chorus:]
California Uber Alles
California Uber Alles
Uber Alles California
Uber Alles California

Zen fascists will control you
100% natural
You will jog for the master race
And always wear the happy face

Close your eyes, can't happen here
Big Bro' on white horse is near
The hippies won't come back you say
Mellow out or you will pay
Mellow out or you will pay!

[Chorus]

Now it is 1984
Knock-knock at your front door
It's the suede/denim secret police
They have come for your uncool niece

Come quietly to the camp
You'd look nice as a drawstring lamp
Don't you worry, it's only a shower
For your clothes here's a pretty flower.

DIE on organic poison gas
Serpent's egg's already hatched
You will croak, you little clown
When you mess with President Brown
When you mess with President Brown

[Chorus]
