Britain's Intelligence Dossier on Iraq
was Plagiarized from a Grad Student

Feb. 6, 2003, 2230 hrs, PST, (FTW) - A story is sweeping the world tonight and it says a great deal about those who are forcing the world into a war it does not want. The famed dossier presented by British Prime Minister Tony Blair to his Parliament was plagiarized from two articles and a September 2002 research paper submitted by a graduate student. Worse, the Iraq described by the graduate student is not the Iraq of 2003 but the Iraq of 1991. So glaring was the theft of intellectual property that the official British document even cut and pasted whole verbatim segments of the research paper, including grammatical errors, and presented the findings as the result of intense work by British intelligence services.

U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell both praised and quoted that same British report in his presentation at the United Nations yesterday.

It is important that readers see and understand the enormity of this violation of public trust for themselves. The story was first broken by Britain's Channel 4 today and it is appearing in more papers and web sites by the hour. What was also disclosed was that certain portions of the academic report were altered by the PM Tony Blair to make them more inflammatory. In one cited instance Blair changed "aiding opposition groups" to "supporting terrorists."

In the context of merely preventing or slowing a war with Iraq this would be earth shattering news. But in a world that is slowly beginning to feel the pressure of and admit the reality of dwindling global oil supplies the fallout from the story may actually accelerate hostilities. British Prime Minister Tony Blair will be, by tomorrow, facing monumental challenges in both Parliament and from British public opinion that is overwhelmingly opposed to an Iraqi invasion. The event could be enough to topple his government and cause new elections which might well result in a new government that is not mind-melded with the Bush administration.

The Bush administration, faced with its own embarrassment over the issue, cannot wage a successful war without England. The first thought that came to my mind when I saw the story was that George W. Bush must pre-empt this story and make it moot to save not only Blair but himself as well. The only way to do that is to have the war begin before the justified outrage of the electorate which has been treated with utter contempt can make itself felt.

I noticed tonight that the Associated Press and Yahoo news had reported that the 101st Air Assault Division based at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky - the Army's premier "door kickers" - had been given their deployment orders for the Gulf this afternoon. As I have previously reported, the 101st, along with units like the 75th Rangers can be deployed and operational within 96 hours, anywhere in the world. When the 101st heads out you know the war is going to start very soon.

These are incredibly dangerous times, made more so because there is no turning back for the Bush administration. This story is incredible proof of the cynicism, dishonesty and callousness of the tyrants pushing the world toward destruction. And Iraq is merely the first stop on a sequential plan for control of the last remaining oil reserves on the planet. I encourage all who read the information contained in these links to spread it far and wide and also, by whatever means at their disposal, to tell the mainstream press, members of congress and the White House itself that we will not follow; we will not obey; and we will not kill on the orders of those who lie to us and who demonstrate the integrity of thieves and intellectual cowards.

This might be our last chance before the bombs start falling, before young American men and many innocent Iraqi civilians are reduced to blood and ash.

Blair under fire for plagiarised Iraq dossier

London - British Prime Minister Tony Blair was accused on Friday of playing the same propaganda games as Saddam Hussein after chunks of an "intelligence" dossier on Iraq turned out to have been plagiarised from academic papers.

The dossier, published this week on a government website, said Iraq had mounted a massive campaign to deceive and intimidate United Nations inspectors hunting for banned weapons.

The latest in a series of British documents focusing on the alleged threat from Saddam and rallying support for a possible US-led war, it was praised by US Secretary of State Colin Powell in the UN Security Council on Wednesday.

Iraq dossier assembled by junior aides

DOWNING STREET’S embarrassment over its Iraq “intelligence” dossier deepened yesterday with the disclosure that key sections were cobbled together by junior communications unit staff, including Alastair Campbell’s secretary.

Officials also admitted that chunks of the document — praised by Colin Powell on Wednesday for its “exquisite detail” — were copied word-for-word from an article by a 29-year-old Californian academic.

The sentences were lifted from an article by Ibrahim al-Marishi, an Iraqi-American, in the September edition of Middle East Review of International Affairs. He, in turn, sourced his information to a 1999 book by the former weapons inspector Scott Ritter, who opposes President Bush’s Iraq policy.

Last night the US State Department said that General Powell was aware of the reports. “The British report contained good information. We’ll leave it to them to talk about how it was put together,” a senior official told The Times.

In London, the Prime Minister’s spokesman accepted that it may have been wiser properly to source the material used in the report and said the internet version might be amended to acknowledge its origins. “It was a pull-together of a variety of sources. In retrospect, we should, to clear up any confusion, have acknowledged which bits came from public sources and which bits came from other sources,” he said.

He refused to say who had been responsible for the alleged plagiarism. However, four officials who worked on the report were accidentally named on an early draft. They include Alison Blackshaw, Mr Campbell’s personal assistant. Sources at No 10 privately admit that early in January, Mr Blair’s aides started to panic as it became clear the UN weapons inspectors were not close to finding a “smoking gun”, nor was there any sign that President Saddam Hussein was going to let the inspectors disarm him.

The aides instructed communications staff to draw together evidence that Saddam was obstructing the officials to make that the central plank of their case against him instead.

Along with material on how Iraq was frustrating the inspectors’ work, they included a section on how the Iraqi security services are structured, using information from Mr al-Marashi’s paper and Jane’s Intelligence Review. Mr Blair’s spokesman, attempting yesterday to preserve the authenticity of the remaining sections of the report, some of which were compiled by MI6, said that they had been based on intelligence reports.

He also tried to distance senior aides, including Mr Campbell, from the plagiarised section, saying it had been merely “seen by the relevant people” before it went out.

Labour MPs voiced anger that the Government’s case was built on such apparently flimsy ground.

The former Defence Minister Peter Kilfoyle said: “It just adds to the general impression that what we have been treated to is a farrago of half-truths, assertions and over-the-top spin. I am afraid this is typical of the way in which the whole question of a potential war on Iraq is being treated.”

ker sem si ravno vzel čas, se ponižno vključujem v razpravo. SEveda bi zadevo vsi radi poenostavili, kar se da.
Dejstvo je, da se bitke dobivajo na notranjih poljih, ne zunanjih.
Dejstvo je, da je precej, da ne rečem preveč odbitih muslimamnov, ki si napačno predstavljajo Jihad.

Jihad naj bi bila notranja prevlada dobrega nad slabim in ne neko fizično očiščenje sveta vseh tistih, ki niso muslimani.
Dejstvo je, da ne glede na to, ali vojna v Iraku bo ali ne bo, dokler ljudje na obeh straneh ne bodo spoznali, da je glavni problem vseh vojn v vsakem posamezniku, ki eno misli, govori drugo in dela tretje oziroma loči svet na nas, ki smo nekaki bratje v dobrem in na one, ki so nekaki bratje v zlu in seveda njih, ki mislijo o nas ravno obratno.
Dejstvo je, da večino trgovine z drogo nadzirajo muslimani, da so kot begunci kar lepo razporejeni  s svojim poslanstvom po vsem planetu in tudi ta zadnja odkritja racina v Londonu niso ravno mačji kašelj, ampak neki zviti plan nekih klerikov, ki lahko pomori ob nekem trenutku tudi vse nas, ki smo borci proti vsakem nasilju in vsem vojnam.
Dejstvo je, da kar je napovedal Nostradamus, se je še vse uresničilo, zaradi gluposti svetovnoh voditeljev in tega se oni dobro zavedajo, ampak rešitev ne znajo pogruntati, ker nimajo okoli sebe ta pravih ljudi, ki bi jim svetovali, saj so samo lutke kapitala, ki hoče le profit.
in za njih je treba potrošiti vse te bombe, sprazniti skladišča, da bo industrija razvijala nove še bolj uničevalne modele bomb...
če samo pomislim, da je ena sama lasersko usmerjena bomba vredna milijon dolarjev, je očitno, da je norih ljudi v ZDA, ki ne vejo kam bi koristno naložili denar razen v vojno industrijo na tem svetu izrazito preveč.  
Gospod Blair je priznal da so uporabili zgoraj omenjene podatke, ki so bili "updetani" z novejšimi članki iz časopisov od omenjenega študenta, ampak to ni pomembno pravi, važno je da so resnični.
Dejstvo je, da je Sadam razvijal atomsko orožje in to ne z namenom, da bi sadil rožice...
In kje je rešitev?
Najprej narediti vse za končanje konflikta med Izraelci in Palestinici in čimprej ustanoviti Palestinsko državo.
V Irak poslati nadaljnjih 20 000 inšpektorjev Un z vso opremo in še kakih milijon UN vojakov, ki naj bi skrbeli za njihovo varnost. Število bi vsako leto povečevali tako dolgo, dokler Sadam Husein ob pogledu na preveč modrih čelad ne bi umrl od samega dolgčasa.
